Saving is the core action in Savelore. Here's a complete look at how it works.

How to save

Hover over any AI response on ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. A small action toolbar appears below the response. Click the bookmark icon to save.

The save happens instantly — no popup, no form to fill out. The response is saved with its full text and a back-link to the original conversation.

What gets saved

Each saved response includes:

• Response text — the full content of the AI's reply
• Source — which platform (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)
• Conversation link — a direct link back to the chat where it was saved
• Timestamp — when it was saved
• Tags — any tags you add (optional)
• Folder — if you organize into folders (optional)

Editing after saving

You can edit the saved text after saving. This is useful for:

• Trimming a long response down to just the useful part
• Adding your own notes inside the saved text
• Fixing formatting

Open the sidebar → click a saved item → click the edit icon.

Tagging

Tags are free-form labels you can apply to any save. Use them to group saves across different conversations and topics.

Examples:

• coding — programming snippets and explanations
• research — factual answers and summaries
• writing — phrasing ideas and edits
• work/project-name — project-specific saves

You can filter the sidebar by tag to see all related saves at once.

Folders

Folders are a second layer of organization on top of tags. Create a folder for a project, subject, or workflow.

To create a folder:

1. Open the sidebar
2. Click the folder icon or + New folder
3. Name it and save

Move any response into a folder by opening the item detail and selecting the folder.

Saving a full conversation

In addition to saving individual responses, you can save an entire conversation at once. This captures a structured snapshot of the whole chat — useful for archiving a productive session.

On the free plan, you get 2 conversation saves. Pro gives unlimited conversation saves.
