Installation

How to install the Savelore Chrome extension and get set up in under a minute.

Savelore is a Chrome extension available on the Chrome Web Store. Installation takes under a minute.

Install from the Chrome Web Store

  1. Visit the Savelore page on the Chrome Web Store
  2. Click Add to Chrome
  3. Click Add extension in the confirmation popup
  4. The Savelore icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar

Pin the extension

Chrome hides extensions in a puzzle-piece menu by default. Pin Savelore so it's always one click away:

  1. Click the puzzle-piece icon (Extensions) in your toolbar
  2. Find Savelore in the list
  3. Click the pin icon next to it

The Savelore icon will now appear permanently in your toolbar.

Open the sidebar

Click the Savelore icon in your toolbar at any time to open the sidebar. The sidebar is where you browse your saved responses, search, and access Collection Mode.

You can also open it while on a ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini page — in that case, it automatically filters to show saves from that conversation.

Optional: Create an account

Savelore works without an account. If you want cloud sync (access your saves on multiple devices or after reinstalling Chrome), create a free account:

  1. Open the sidebar
  2. Click Sign in at the bottom
  3. Enter your email and create a password
  4. Verify your email
Reality check

Cloud sync is optional. If you never sign in, your saves are stored locally in Chrome's storage. They persist across browser restarts but won't survive uninstalling the extension.

System requirements

  • Google Chrome (version 88 or later)
  • Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • No other software needed

Troubleshooting installation

The icon doesn't appear after installing: Make sure you pinned the extension (see above). It may be hidden in the puzzle-piece menu.

The sidebar doesn't open: Try refreshing the ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini page after installing. Extensions sometimes need a page refresh to inject the sidebar.

Extension was removed: Chrome occasionally disables extensions that are flagged during policy reviews. If this happens, reinstall from the Chrome Web Store.
