Research across several AI models and keep one document

Highlight the useful parts of four different answers, from four different platforms, and save them as a single entry with a citation on each one.

For anyone who runs the same question through more than one model and needs the result to outlive the tabs.

The situation

Using more than one model for the same question is normal now. You do it to catch a hallucination, to get a second read on something technical, or because one model handles the part you care about better than the others.

What breaks is everything after. Four tabs, four partly useful answers, and nowhere to put them. So you copy the good paragraphs into a document, and the moment you paste them you lose which model said what, when, and in which conversation. Two weeks later you are looking at a claim you built on and you cannot check where it came from.

None of the platforms help, because none of them know the others exist. ChatGPT keeps ChatGPT history. Claude keeps Claude history. Perplexity keeps its own. There is no view that spans them, and no way to pull one paragraph out of each.

What Savelore does about it

Collection mode
Highlight a paragraph, a code block, or your own prompt inside any supported conversation and add it to a collection. Keep adding from other conversations, other models, other platforms. Savelore stitches them into one entry.
Citations that reopen the source
Every highlight in a collection carries a numbered citation, the way a Wikipedia article does. Click one and the original conversation opens, scrolled to the exact message the text came from.
Model and date on every entry
Each saved item records which platform and model it came from and when. You can filter your archive by model later, which is how you check whether a conclusion rests on one source or four.
Nine platforms
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Copilot, Google AI Studio and NotebookLM. One collection can draw from all of them.

How to collect one document from several models

This takes about as long as the copying you are doing now, and it keeps the part copying throws away.

  1. 1

    Open Savelore in the sidebar

Install the extension and open it beside the conversation you are reading. It sits next to the chat rather than replacing it, so you can keep working.

  2. 2

    Start a collection

Turn on collection mode. It stays on while you move between tabs, conversations and platforms.

  3. 3

    Highlight what is worth keeping

Select the paragraph or the code block and add it. Your own prompts can go in too, which is usually what makes the collection readable later.

  4. 4

    Move to the next model

Open the same question in another platform and keep highlighting. Everything lands in the same collection.

  5. 5

    Save it as one entry

Give it a title, a description in your own words, tags and a folder. The description is the part that saves you later, so write what you actually concluded.

  6. 6

    Trim it

Edit the entry to cut whatever did not hold up. The citations on what is left still point at the right messages.

The citations matter more than the text

Anyone can paste four answers into a document. What decays is where they came from. Six weeks on you are reading a claim and you cannot remember whether it was Claude or Perplexity, whether it had a source attached, or what you asked to get it.

A citation that reopens the conversation and scrolls to the message answers all three at once. It also means you can go back and ask a follow-up in the original context instead of starting over.

Comparing answers, not just collecting them

Put two models' answers to the same question in one entry, with your own note above them, and the disagreement becomes visible. That is usually the useful part. Where three models agree and one does not, you know where to look harder.

Tags help here. Tag a collection by the question rather than by the model, and your archive fills with comparisons you can pull up as a set.

What this does not do

Savelore does not run your prompt through several models for you. You open each platform yourself, in its own tab, the way you do now. There are tools that fan a prompt out to several models at once, and this is not one of them.

It also does not tell you which answer is right. It keeps the evidence in a form you can check, which is a different job.

Frequently asked questions

Can one collection pull from different platforms?

Yes. That is the point of it. A single collection can hold highlights from a ChatGPT thread, a Claude thread and a Perplexity search, and each one keeps its own citation.

Does the citation still work if I delete the original conversation?

No. The citation links to the conversation on the platform, so if you delete it there the link stops resolving. The text you highlighted stays in your archive either way.

Can I collect from a temporary chat?

You can save a temporary conversation as an entry, which is otherwise not possible anywhere. The link back will not resolve afterwards, because the platform did not keep the conversation.

Where is any of this stored?

On your own machine by default. Cloud sync is optional and off unless you turn it on. Turning it on also gives you the web dashboard at web.savelore.app, which reads the synced copy rather than the local one.

Is collection mode limited on the free plan?

The free plan includes a small number of collection-mode saves so you can see whether the workflow suits you. Pro removes the limit. Current numbers are on the pricing section of the homepage.

The comparison you just ran is worth keeping.

You did the work of asking four models and reading four answers. What you have left is four tabs you will close. Savelore keeps the parts that were worth the effort, with a way back to each one, across all nine supported platforms.
