Chat to Notion is a small, open-source Chrome extension by an independent developer. It saves conversations, or single answers, from ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Claude and Mistral into a Notion database you pick. It has about 70,000 users and a 3.7 rating from 125 reviews on the Chrome Web Store.
Savelore also reaches Notion, on Pro, with a sync that keeps entries updated rather than exporting them once. The difference is what happens before that. Savelore keeps an archive of its own, across nine platforms, that exists whether or not Notion is in the picture.
So the question is not really which one is better at writing to Notion. It is whether Notion is where your saved things should live. If it is, Chat to Notion does that one job and costs you nothing to try. Where Chat to Notion is the better choice
You can read exactly what it does
Both the extension and the server it talks to are open source on GitHub. Savelore is not. For anyone whose first question about a tool touching their AI conversations is what the code actually does, that is a real answer and we do not have an equivalent one.
It supports Mistral and we do not
Savelore covers nine platforms and Mistral is not among them. If Mistral is part of your week, Chat to Notion reaches it today and Savelore does not.
Autosave means never deciding
It can save ChatGPT conversations without being asked. Savelore is deliberately the opposite: you pick what is worth keeping, which is the whole point of an archive but does mean you have to notice. If you would rather everything went to Notion by default, that is a legitimate preference and Chat to Notion serves it.
It is simpler, and free to try
One job, one destination, no second place for your things to live and no subscription to reach Notion. If Notion is already where everything of yours ends up, adding an archive in front of it is extra machinery you may not want.

Local by default
Savelore entries sit on your own machine and no account is needed to start. Chat to Notion's listing discloses that your Notion user id and access key live on a remote server. They are open about it and explain the reasoning, and it is still a difference worth knowing before you connect a workspace.
Sync that keeps up, rather than an export
Editing an entry updates its Notion page, and deleting one archives the page. A one-way export leaves you reconciling two copies by hand.
It is being worked on
The Chrome Web Store lists Chat to Notion at version 2.0.1, updated in March 2025. That is not a criticism of an independent developer with a job, and it is a thing to weigh when a platform changes its page structure and the saving breaks.
The real question is whether you want an archive at all
A lot of people do not, and should not be talked into one. If Notion is genuinely where your work lives, then sending AI conversations straight there and searching them alongside everything else is a clean setup with one fewer moving part.
The case for an archive in between is that most of what comes out of an AI chat is not worth a Notion page. You want to keep a response, tag it, find it in three weeks and maybe never think about it again. Promoting all of that into your workspace makes the workspace worse.
Four platforms is the ceiling that matters
Chat to Notion covers ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Claude and Mistral. That was a sensible set when it was built and it is narrower than how a lot of people now work.
The platforms it misses are not obscure ones. Gemini and Copilot are defaults inside two of the largest software companies, Perplexity is where a lot of source-finding happens, and NotebookLM and Google AI Studio have become normal study and experimentation tools. Savelore covers all of those, and misses Mistral, which Chat to Notion has.
