What About Analytics?
Anonymous Usage Analytics (Mandatory)
The Savelore extension collects anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the product. This is mandatory and cannot be disabled.
✅ What We Track:
- • Number of snippets saved (not the content)
- • Which features you use (folders, tags, Collection Mode)
- • Platform usage (ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini)
- • Pro upgrade events
- • Days since install (for cohort analysis)
❌ What We DON'T Track:
- • Your snippet content or AI conversations
- • Your search queries or tag names
- • Folder names or descriptions
- • Any personally identifiable information
- • Your browsing history outside Savelore
Anonymous User ID: We use your Chrome extension install ID as an anonymous identifier. This cannot be linked to your personal identity, email, or any other accounts.
Landing Page Analytics Only
Here's where we're 100% transparent: Our website (savelore.app) uses basic analytics to understand how visitors interact with our landing page. This is completely separate from the extension.
What we track on the website only:
- • Page views and time on site
- • Button clicks (e.g., "Get Started Free")
- • Scroll depth (how far you scroll)
- • General location (country level only)
- • Device type and browser
Analytics tools we use on the website:

Important: This website analytics data cannot see your snippet content, search queries, or anything you do inside the extension. The extension and website are completely separate.
Pro License Users: If you go Pro, your email is stored locally only to manage your license. We never share or upload it anywhere, and you can ask for deletion anytime by emailing support@savelore.app.
Legal Stuff (Required but Boring)
This extension complies with Chrome Web Store policies, GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations. The extension collects anonymous usage analytics (no personal data, no content). Our website (savelore.app) uses anonymous analytics under our legitimate interest in improving the product experience.
Umami Analytics and Google Analytics act as data processors for our website analytics and follow their respective privacy policies. This data is completely separate from the extension and does not include any content you save or any usage of the extension itself.
Savelore is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.
